In the Art Space in March

In the art space this month is the exhibition Hydromania by artist Jenii Beaver. Hydromania is about representing water through different mediums.

"I have a deep love of water as it is one of the places I find myself the calmest so it tends to feature a lot in my work" says Jenii.

Jenii has loved drawing and art since she was very young, returning to it last year after a few years break. Jenii mostly sticks to abstract pieces although she also loves to draw adapted anime style characters and enjoys exploring different mediums.

Hydromania is Jenii's first exhibition. Come along and allow the calming blue and green hues and flowing strokes have a relaxing effect on you.

You can view Jenii's work on display in the Art Space throughout March. If you are interested in seeing more of Jenii's work, follow her on Instagram.

The Art Space - Toi Tangata is a display space especially for local, amateur artists to exhibit their art. There is no charge but you do need to book ahead. If you would like to show your work in Toi Tangata, contact library@rotorualc.govt.nz or visit our Meeting Rooms and Display Opportunities page for more information.
