Work and Income - Turn No into Yes

Free WINZ Workshop to be run at Rotorua Library.

Rotorua Library will be running a free workshop entitled ‘Work and Income:  Turn No into Yes’ on Monday 4 December 2017.  The workshop will run at 10am and be repeated at 1pm. It will be held in the Programmes Space near the back of the Library.

The lead up to Christmas and the holiday season can be a difficult and stressful time for many.  Money issues or financial changes may mean you need to deal with WINZ over this time. Community Law Rotorua runs regular WINZ clinics but as they are closed from 22 December 2017 to 11 January 2018 they are offering this free workshop at Rotorua Library ahead of the holidays.

This workshop will help you find out more about your entitlements and turn No into Yes.

The workshop will be run by local WINZ advocate Paul Blair from the Rotorua District Community Law Centre.  It will cover WINZ issues, reviews, appeals, sanctions, food grants and TAS and there will be time for questions at the end.

These sessions have been run at the library in the past and the interest has been great. Those who attended came away feeling empowered with new knowledge and an awareness of how to get the help they needed.

All are welcome to attend this free session. Booking is not required but seating is limited so please arrive early to ensure a seat.
