Meeting Spaces

The Library has two small meeting rooms suitable for small or one-on-one meetings, one larger meeting room and a semi-open programmes space suitable for larger groups.  

Please read terms of use, availability and charges information below before you request a booking.

  

Meeting Room 1

The large meeting room is situated at the rear of the library

Meeting Room 2

This small meeting room is situated near the library reception area and is suitable for small groups or one-on-one meetings only.

Programmes Space

The programmes space is available for larger groups. It is directly adjacent to the larger meeting room. Please note that this area is open and visible to the public but can be cordoned off for booked meetings.There is no charge to book this space.

Terms of use

The meeting rooms and programmes space must be left clean and tidy after use.

* Please note that none of the meeting rooms have kitchen facilities available.

Availability

Rooms and spaces are available for hire from:

  • 9am - 5pm Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
  • 9am - 7.30pm Thursday
  • 9am - 3.30pm Saturday

Charges

These charges apply to all rooms except the Programmes Space

  • Commercial (Any profit generating organisation): $20 + GST per hour
  • Community (Any not-for-profit organisation): $10 + GST per hour

A letter detailing the hire charge (if under $100) will be issued to the organisation's representative on arrival.  A staff member will open the room for you when you arrive and the hire charge payment can be made to reception staff on departure. Staff will issue a handwritten receipt and till receipt to the customer.

Please Note: Anyone using the facilities for less than ½ day must pay their account at reception immediately after using the room. Invoices will not be generated for any amount less than $100.00.

Parking 

Parking Building

The library has a multi-level, undercover paid parking building adjoining it. There is no parking charge for visits of less than an hour. After the first hour, parking is $1 per hour which can be paid in the parking building itself using a self-pay system.

Metered Parks

A variety of metred parking is available around both the Pukuatua and Amohia Street sides of the library.
