Friends of the Library

Rotorua Library is very fortunate to have the unwavering support of an active Friends of the Library group, hard-working volunteers whose aims are:

  • To promote and support the library
  • To facilitate its use and enjoyment by the public
  • To help to acquire additional resources and services for the library
  • To lobby on behalf of the library
  • To encourage involvement of the community in the activities, needs and progress of the library

Friends of the Library Book Sales

The Friends of the Rotorua Library run a book sale at Kuirau Park on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. Funds raised go towards projects supported by the Friends of the Library.

Date: 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month
Time: 9am - 1pm
Venue: Kuirau Park, in the building behind the playground.

Book lovers know they'll get a bargain at the Friends of the Library booksales at Kuirau Park.

Saturday Book Sales will resume when we are in Level 1, conditions allowing.

Join the Friends of the Library

Anyone can join the Friends of the Library and they are always happy to have new members. It costs $10 per year for individual membership. You will also receive the Friends of the Library newsletter.

The Friends of the Library are also looking for able-bodied volunteers to help with picking up and delivering donated books and setting up the book sales. Please contact Patricia at Ph 3456 794.
