You may recognise the pretty face which has been in front of TV cameras a few times.

Natasha Whitewood and her friend, Hera Waitai were contestants on NZ's My Kitchen Rules back in 2017 where they dished up some amazing food and shamelessly promoted their hometown, (Rotorua!) at every opportunity.  Natasha writes "The Māori Foodie Blog"  and is passionate about showcasing indigenous produce and using our unique thermal environment to cook it.

From her own life experience and witnessing the rise and fall of woman around her, Natasha felt inspired to use her writing talent to create something that would make a difference.

For Natasha, writing has always come easily and she felt able to express her true thoughts and feelings clearly in her journal.  She says this was the foundation for her book.  Since its publication, Natasha says she has people walk up to her crying, asking about the women in the book and what they are doing now.  People are inspired by the book and appreciate its' 'rawness".  Natasha says she has been really encouraged at how well the book has been received.

Come and meet Natasha who will have books available for sale at the event.
