HOORAY!! Our preschool programmes are back!

Starting with two sessions of He Pīpī Paopao (under 2s) on Wednesday 7th February, followed by He Pī Ka Rere on Thursday 8th.

The first session of our te reo Māori programme will be on Monday 12th February.

We can't wait to see you there! Nau mai, haere mai!

He Aka Pikirangi

Mā He Aka Pikirangi e ekea ai e ngā tamariki nohinohi ngā taumata teitei.

Ngā Rā: Ia Mane/Rāhina i ngā wāhanga o te kura

Ko ēnei akoranga whakawhanake, pārekareka hoki kai roto i te reo Māori anake, mai i ngā pūrākau, ngā waiata, ngā taonga pūoro, ngā nekenekehanga me ngā mahi toi. Waihangatia ai mā ngā tamariki nohinohi, ko tā He Aka Pikirangi he tautoko, he whakatairanga hoki i te whakamahinga o te reo Māori, he hononga ki te ao Māori, ā, he whanake hoki i ētahi atu pūkenga huhua.

Nau mai – kōrero Māori, pānui, kanikani, waihanga!

These fun, developmental sessions are solely in te reo Māori and include story time, songs, instruments, movement and craft. Tailored specifically for toddlers and pre-schoolers He Aka Pikirangi supports and fosters the use of te reo Māori, a connection to te ao Māori and the development of many other skills.

Come along – kōrero Māori, read, dance, rock and create!

He Pī Ka Rere

Under Fives can take flight with He Pī Ka Rere

Date: Every Tuesday and Thursday during school term.
Time: 10.30am

Cost: Free

Our fun, developmental sessions focus on story time, songs, instruments, movement and craft. Tailored specifically for toddlers and pre-schoolers He Pī Ka Rere - Adventurers supports and fosters children's literacy, social, cognitive, motor and musical skills whilst bonding with their caregivers through shared experiences.

Come along - read, dance, rock and create!

He Pīpī Paopao

(2 sessions on Wednesdays)

Under Twos can take their first steps to opening up a world of literacy and wellbeing with He Pīpī Paopao - First Steps.

Date: Every Wednesday during school term.
Times: 9.30am & 10.45am

Venue: Children's Area, Ground Floor, Rotorua Library Te Aka Mauri, 1127 Haupapa St

Cost: Free

Our interactive sessions focus on active movement, touch and massage between baby and parent while nurturing development of language, social, cognitive and motor skills. He Pīpī Paopao - First Steps is a fun programme for under twos and their caregivers. Join us for songs, rhymes and finger play songs with your little one.

Come along - dance and play.

He Pī Ka Rere - On the Road

He Pī Ka Rere - On the Road is back!
One of our Youth & Early Learning Specialists will come to your centre and deliver a one hour programme of singing, dancing, a story, instrument play and a simple craft.
Date: This programme is offered during school terms on a date that suits your centre.

On the Road - Coding for Preschoolers

Free 30 minute sessions run over 3 weeks.

Delivered at your Early Learning Centre between 1.30-3.30pm during school terms.
A perfect level for 4 year old preschoolers

Children will get to explore coding using our BeeBots.
Learning to code helps develop critical thinking, language development with numeracy and literacy benefits.
