Holiday Reading Adventure
The Spring Holiday Reading Adventure map is a great way for children to record their reading during the school holidays.
Children, on their own or with a grown up, can track their reading on the map of Lake Rotorua. Each 15 minutes of reading equals one location on the map. Once they have recorded six hours of reading, they can enter draw to win some prizes.
The more you read, the more entries each child will receive in the draw. Reading more than 12 hours will automatically enter participants into a bonus prize draw.
We’re encouraging grown-ups to get involved too, by reading to children. Sharing new stories with your child/ren is great fun and counts towards your child's reading hours.
This programme runs from 21 September to 17 October 2026.

All entries must be returned to Rotorua Library, Te Aka Mauri by 4pm, Saturday 17 October 2026.
